Statement by the Catholic church on the importance of the UN’s “Guiding Principles” as a tool for protecting human rights

One of the observations made by Archbishop Tomasi on the importance of continuing the push for implementation of the UN's Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights was: "Despite the significant efforts made to implement the Guiding Principles, key challenges remain: these include broadening dissemination, reaching scale in implementation, building trust between stakeholders and overcoming barriers to effective remedy."
