ICCR Amicus Brief in Support of FTC Rule Banning Non-Compete Agreements

Along with the NYC Comptroller and Zevin Asset Management, ICCR filed an amicus brief in the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit supporting the FTC against a challenge to the FTC’s rule banning non-compete agreements.  As the brief states, the FTC’s rule “was supported by institutional investors with collectively billions of dollars of assets under management because they recognize that non-compete agreements harm the economy: they depress wages, cause workers to stay in jobs that are not the best fit, prevent firms from accessing the best workers, and reduce innovation.
