From AIDS to Avian Flu:
New Ways to Discover and Deliver Drugs
NEW YORK CITY, NY///January 27, 2006///The Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility
(ICCR), the leading faith-based advocacy organization for socially responsible
investing, will hold a regional gathering for members, supporters and friends
in San Francisco on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at The Lone Mountain Conference
Center at the University of San Francisco. We hope that you consider joining
us for an event that promises to offer an insightful look at the pharmaceutical
industry and the efforts of expanding access to medicines.
Our speaker for this event is Dr. Bethany Young Holt, Executive Director of Microbicides as an Alternative Solution (MAS). MAS works to prevent sexual and reproductive health illnesses through research (i.e., epidemiological, behavioral, market-based) and education.
ICCR was founded in 1971 to promote corporate social responsibility. ICCR's members are faith-based institutional investors with combined portfolios worth over $100 billion. Our strategic advocacy initiatives include engaging in corporate dialogues, collaborating on special projects and filing shareholder resolutions to affect change. ICCR partners with other organizations in its shareholder work, including social investment firms, public pension funds, union pension funds, foundations and universities. Many have joined ICCR as Associate and Affiliate members.
ICCR's mission to serve justice through advocacy with corporations remains
critical. We would be honored if you accept our invitation to join us and bring
friends or colleagues . It will be a wonderful networking occasion for people
working in this arena, for religious investors, for concerned academics and
interested individuals. We look forward to seeing you in San Francisco.
