Director of Finance and Administration, Gail Shamilov is a Certified Public Accountant and financial executive with 19 years of experience in financial planning, reporting, budgeting and managing day to day financial activity for nonprofit organizations. She has spent the last 13 years of her career in senior accounting positions at various nonprofits.
Before joining ICCR, Gail served as the Director of Finance at Central Synagogue, one of New York City’s largest synagogues. Prior to working for the Synagogue, she was Chief Financial Officer at The Institute for Urban Family Health, a health care organization which provided health care to underserved populations in the New York tri-state area. She was also a Senior Investment Accounting Analyst at TIAA-CREF.
Gail is excited about joining a mission-driven organization that harnesses the power of ideas for good. “ICCR is not afraid to go after the big guys and has a rich history of making changes in the corporate world. It’s one of the qualities that drew me to the organization.”
Gail has a B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting from the City University of New York-Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, and a B.A. in Economics from the former Soviet Union. She lives in New York City with her family.
