Susan Smith Makos has been engaged in social responsibility for more than five years. She serves as Director of Social Responsibility for Mercy Investment Services, Inc. and as SRI Advisor to Catholic Healthcare Partners, a health system based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to that, she served in a variety of roles in more than 20 years with Catholic Healthcare Partners, with responsibilities including operations, legal, finance and treasury, corporate responsibility and advocacy.
She has served as a member of the ICCR board since 2008, a member of ICCR Finance Committee since 2007 and on the board Ad Hoc Committee in 2009-10. She has experience in serving on other nonprofit boards, and currently is on the board of the Franciscan Healthcare Ministry in Wisconsin. Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in mathematics and Spanish from Kenyon College and a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Indiana University. She is also licensed to practice law. Outside of work, her interests include cooking and gardening. |
