Jeffrey Dekro is Senior Vice President of Jewish Funds for Justice and serves as Chair of the Isaiah Fund, which he co-founded with other ICCR members. Following a dozen years as an energy activist, community and national peace organizer, Jeffrey founded The Shefa Fund, which he led for 18 years. He conceived and led the Tzedec/”Justice:” The Jewish Partnership for Community Investing. Tzedec has catalyzed more than $30 million in identifiable American Jewish investment for low-income community development. Jeffrey has an M.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He has lectured at several universities and rabbinical seminaries across the country.
